BAM! I wholeheartedly endorse everything in this article!!: Being a Stay-at-Home Parent is a Luxury — For Your Spouse
I guess I have pretty strong feelings about societies lack of respect for Stay-at-Home parents these days. To those who think staying at home all day with the kids is easy, try it. Taking care of a home and children is not “doing nothing” as some might say. It is a full time job! And its not only a full time job,.. its more important than your full time job! Yes, breadwinning is important and is what purchases all the essential things including the house itself, I of course give you that. But it doesn’t create a home. It doesn’t form the kids. It doesn’t create a safe, welcoming, cozy atmosphere where you are able to go for rest, replenishment, safety and love. Its the Stay-at-Home parent that does and creates that.
I have nothing but praise for Stay-at-Home parents. I think they are guardians of society at its most fundamental level, the family. Cheers to you!
